What's up friends? This past weekend I felt very motivated to accept a challenge from my friend and coworker Jake Vayda, if you're not subscribed to his blog... you're missing out! Go check out his work! The link is at the bottom of this blog post. Anyway, the challenge was to talk to three strangers. Normally, I avoid talking to strangers because I'm an introvert and I find it difficult to start random conversations. Today, while I was in line to get lunch at school I decided to talk to a woman behind me. It was funny because we both ordered the same salad and the same drink and that's how I decided to start the conversation. We talked about the weather, about how much the time change sucks, and about the different events coming up at SDSU. She shared with me that she has been working for the school for 10 years and that she graduated with a major in Communication and Media Relations... which is the the SAME thing I'm studying. We keep talking about our major in the line until it was time to pay for the food and she ended up paying for my meal (thank you stranger)! Overall, it was a super cool experience and I feel like there's so much to learn about other people. Talk to new people! This week, I will continue the challenge and see how it goes.
