I've been working at Eastlake Church as a children's ministry director for almost a year, and sometimes it's easy for me to feel like what I'm doing isn't noticed. This past weekend, something amazing happened that completely changed my perspective. One of my favorite kids that I get the chance of working with, brought me a goodie bag that had some of my favorite things. At first, I thought it was something along the lines of a Christmas gift since we're in the month of December, but it meant so much more. As I opened the gift, there was a "Thank you" card. His parents had asked for five names, five people that he was going to bless with kindness this month and I was one of those people. I realized that what I'm doing, alongside of some awesome coworkers and volunteers is making a positive impact in the lives of the future generation. My heart melted, what if we picked five people? What if we decided to go the extra mile to show others around us that we care for them and they're noticed and appreciated. That's a challenge I'm willing to take, are you?
